Into the Fire: A Utah Boy’s Life in the Blues
Dick Earl Ericksen grew up in Moroni, Utah; a rural community located in East-Central Utah, by no means a hotspot for the Blues. One day his father came home from work with a cassette tape that was left in the lost and found; an album by the man called Muddy Waters. Dick put the tape in his boom-box, and in that moment his life was changed forever.

Into the Fire was produced by DSU faculty, staff and students, and will be followed by a Q&A and a Blues Music performance by Dick Earl’s Electric Witness (the band featured in the film), at Eccles Auditorium. You don’t want to miss this upbeat, fun film! In addition to the Eccles reception and screening, Into the Fire will be projected at the DSU Eccles Main Stage for Reception guests and at PV 6 at Megaplex Pineview Theaters for Festival pass holders. “Premiere” attire encouraged!
