Boys of Bonneville: Racing on a Ribbon of Salt
This documentary tells the story of an unsung hero and self-made man, David Abbott Jenkins, who, with almost superhuman stamina and boyish charm, set out to single-handedly break every existing land speed record.
Racing on a Ribbon of Salt is about an America that has all but disappeared, when lucrative business deals were cemented by a handshake and state of the art automobiles were designed on the backs of envelopes.
Blizzard conditions and icy roads in the Salt Lake area and down to Cedar City have made it too dangerous to transport the Mormon Meteor to St. George. As you can imagine it is a very valuable race car. We apologize for this but know that you will find the film, Boys of Bonneville, thrilling and enjoy hearing Director, Curt Wallin’s stories of making this film.
Hosted by Director Curt Wallin and Producer Jennifer Jordan
