On January 5th, 2006, 14-year old Martin Lee Anderson was incarcerated in a juvenile detention “boot camp” in Bay County, Florida. 18 hours later he was pronounced dead at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, Florida. This is the story of the intersection of race, class and the juvenile justice system.
